I spent most weekends looking for things to do in the cities in Athens or Rome. I found many beaches, museums, and shops that the the rest of the group missed out on. I also used public transportation to get to parts of the cities that we were not scheduled to visit. Part of the fun came from navigating the different stops and methods of transport. They were like small challenges for the weekend. I liked to look for activities to do across the city on purpose, so I would have to figure out ways to get there.
