August 2018

HI Team

As a member of HI Team, I moved into the honors dorm early and attended several meetings. The meetings were about helpful skills for college. As a member, I also got to help students across campus move into their dorms.

August 2014 – May 2018

Food Bank

Once a month, I volunteered at one of two food banks in my area. I helped make and store packages for distribution. My swim team also held an annual food drive where we walked door to door collecting cans. Senior year of high school, I led the food drive as captain of the swim team.

Various: Swim Club

I volunteered at many recreational swim meets. I would help the swimmers find their lanes, I posted the swimmers' times, and I worked in the concession stand.

August 2014 - May 2017

Various: Local Library

I volunteered once a week at the library. During the school year, I would shelve books and search for requested books. Over the summer, I approached parents and children to encourage them to sign up for summer reading programs.
